Deep Inside the Forest . . .

Deep inside the forest,
Inside the secret woods,
Where nothing is what it seems,
Where all wore fathom hoods.

Deep inside each tree,
Each shrub and blade of grass,
Lies a fairy with glittering wings,
What powers and beauty it has.

Deep inside the soil,
Under the Spellbound ground,
Slept dwarfs and miners of the ancient race,
That worked without a sound.

Deep inside a drop of dew,
That falls down every morn,
Enveloped in its crystal shell,
Was a mythical child unborn.

Deep inside the river,
Inside the running stream,
Where mysterious splashes were often heard,
There danced mermaids of dream.

Deep inside the air,
Floating to and fro,
Were goddesses of unknown names,
And creatures of the soul.

Deep inside the forest,
Inside the enchanted place,
Inside the groves of trees,
Walk with a steady pace.

You will see nymphs that were deer by day,
And wizards that were owls by night,
And treasures beyond the thought,
And magic in a brand new light.

Deep inside the being,
Deep inside the mind,
Deep inside the forest,
Imagination is never blind.
